Kimberly Zimmerman, O.D.

Dr. Kimberly Zimmerman, OD was raised in Central Pennsylvania, and is enthusiastic about returning to the area. She graduated with a Bachelor in Science degree from Clarion University. Continuing her education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, Kimberly received her Doctorate in Optometry in 2001.

For nine years Dr. Zimmerman lived and worked in the Allentown/Hazelton area as an independent optometrist caring for patients with a variety of vision disorders such as keratoconus, astigmatism, and amblyopia. She is a long-standing member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Zimmerman served in several leadership positions of the Lehigh Valley Optometric Association including president in 2007.

Premier Eye Care Group is pleased to welcome Dr. Zimmerman to our practice. Patients may schedule an eye exam with Dr. Zimmerman at our Tuscarora Street office or our North Front Street office - both in Harrisburg. She enjoys working with infants and children, but can see your entire family for comprehensive eye care. Dr. Zimmerman is a contact lens specialist and is happy to work with patients who may have had trouble wearing contact lenses in the past. Building on her previous knowledge and experience with treating glaucoma patients, Dr. Zimmerman is working closely with Jane Barton, MD to draw on her expertise with glaucoma management. She can perform eye exams in English and Spanish, and has some degree of Sign Language experience.
