Patient Insurance Information

Insurance coverage for an eye appointment can be confusing because there are two types of insurance; health insurance and vision insurance. Health insurance usually covers eye exams for patients with diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, or other medical diagnosis that deal directly with the eyes. Vision insurance usually pays for a vision exam and eye glasses or contact lenses needed to correct vision. Many of our patients have both health and vision insurance and our office will bill each separately for the appropriate professional services. Please feel free to call our insurance department at 234-2413.
