Allan A. Hunter, M.D.

Dr. Alan Hunter was raised in the neighboring state of Maryland. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and graduated with General and Departmental honors. Since that time, Dr. Hunter has been avidly involved in research. Awarded a position at The National Institute of Health for one year prior to medical school, Dr. Hunter conducted research with The Cancer Institute where he studied mechanics of gene folding.

Dr. Hunter attended medical school and finished his ophthalmology residency at The University of Maryland, School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. During his training, Dr. Hunter continued to research retina pathology and his scientific work is appearing in numerous journals of ophthalmology.
