CustomCornea LASIK
The newest technology for the excimer laser has arrived at our Ophthalmology Laser and Surgery Center. All of our LASIK patients will now have a wavefront map of their eyes taken by the LADARWave system before they have LASIK.
The wavefront technology creates a map by measuring how light is distorted as it passes into the eye and then is reflected back. These measurements can be transferred into the excimer laser for those patients that choose a "CustomCornea" LASIK procedure. Each CustomCornea treatment is unique to each individual eye.
The LADARWave system results have given patients better quantity (20/20) vision as well as better quality vision. With CustomCornea patients can have crisper, sharper, and better night vision. LADARWave continues to offer patients the confidence of the radar eye tracker and the small spot laser beam for a smoother ablation.
